The Red River Valley Chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) is excited to announce they will host their 3rd annual Point of Faith Youth Hunt! This event will guide youth through demonstrations on proper dog handling and hunting etiquette using a variety of well-trained pointing dog breeds. Youth will learn how to shoot a rifle and a shotgun properly and safely. Youth will have the opportunity to hunt upland birds behind pointing dogs in a safe and appropriate manner. The clinic will also teach youth proper processing, packaging, and care of harvested game. Participants will receive a hat, shirt, hunting vest, dog handling gear, and an opportunity to be drawn for door prizes!
This event will encompass five different stations including pointing dog demonstrations, bird processing, shotgun trap station, .22 rifle station, and the youth hunt. The hunt will be at our training grounds southwest of Kindred (location). We would like the youth and chaperone to be on site from 8:00 to 8:30 AM for registration. If interested in participating, please fill out this form and email it to Melvin Bolton at firstname.lastname@example.org. Participation is restricted to youth ages 11 to 16. If you have any questions, please email. We look forward to the hunt!
